Not that I want to be the harbringer of doom or anything, but I can't believe how many dead seagulls I have seen today. Drove along the seafront into Brighton from Portslade this morning and saw two in the road, all blood and feathers. Turned up at the traffic lights to the Churchill Square car park and there was another one all twisted and squashed. Saw another one in Shoreham in the road, and just walking back from Fishersgate train station this evening, there was another one flat on its back on the grass verge, beak turned to the sky, frozen in rigor mortis in a final defiant squawk.

Either they've all contracted some kind of disease, or there's a vindictive joker with an air rifle...

Well, on the positive side, on an away trip I once parked right next to a seagull which had clearly been recently flattened (even its beak was smashed to f***). We went on to win 1-0 with a crashing header from Bobby late on.

Mind you, that was at Torquay, who are also known as....well, you know the rest.

As it's the Falmer decision we are waiting for, it doesn't matter about dead seagulls.....

Now if you suddenly started seeing dead bats, I would be worried :dunce:
