Nottingham Forest have announced the appointment of David Pleat as the club's new football consultant.

The vastly experienced tactician, who has previously managed Tottenham, Sheffield Wednesday and Luton, will lend his knowledge to the club's new manager Colin Calderwood.

Pleat will not be based at the City Ground but he is expected to play a major role in helping Calderwood in his bid to take the club back into the Championship.

Forest chairman Nigel Doughty feels the appointment is a real coup for his club, predicting that a fruitful partnership will soon blossom.

''We've been trying to persuade David to come to the club since he left Tottenham,'' he told the club's official website.

''He has now decided the time is right and in my eyes it completes our backroom team.''

Does this finally mean we will get him off the f***ing tv :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:
