Maybe the kids need a bit of bullying, to toughen them up like :D

DC clipping them round the ear on the touchline, a la Pethwick at Swindon

If Wycombe get promoted, we should sign him up on a one game loan deal exclusively to boot Leon Shite up and down the pitch for 90 mins.

so people are clammouring for butters to get a contract over, yet cullip is over the hill and past it

agreed , plus with no Guy we really need a old head back there considering the rest of our probable back four

HOWEVER i agree with the rest saying he looks shot to pieces the last couple of times we've seen him play!

im not saying we should get him back - it just strikes me as being strange that a large proportion of people on this board seem to think that butters should be getting another contract yet cullip is too old

he could do a job as back up - lynchs injury proneness and el abd not signing a contract as of yet could see us looking a bit short at the back

I agree he wasn't great against us, but I know a reporter who covered the Gillingam - Carlisle game and he said that DC was simply magnificent. It was nil nil and DC kept them out on his own. I'd take him back.

spot on - you cant judge him on one game. lynch had the nightmare of the season against mansfield, doesnt mean that he is not good enough

I think that Cullip stands a very good chance of coming back because of MA. I also wonder how much notice MA will take of Barry Lloyd.

Cullip played crap against us when Gills played at Withdean altho he went off injured. Could really only ever be a 'back up'player these days. Elpick and Lynch are the future, lets hope we can keep them both

Assistant to Adams and registered as player in case we are in the shit????

Have you completely lost your mind? He's a 31 year old footballer:

A) Why would he want to go into semi retirement
B) How on Earth is he qualified to be an assistant manager?! Because he played for us over 3 years ago? Can you imagine how much the club has changed since then and what suggests to you that he knows anything about coaching or how to manage a football club? I really do hate all these 'give him a coaching role he's experienced' comments.

We need to see T.Elphick be given full rein to be mature and see how far he can fulfil his leadership potential, rather than take a backward step and have Danny C lording it over the players and creating friction. Signing DC would be a backward step IMHO. Not needed.
