Just thought I'd say that Dan Harding was my MOM on Saturday. He seems to have recovered from his dodgy start to the season and is now, in my view, one of our brightest prospects. Anyone care to agree with me? In terms of quality and potential, Kerry is not in the same league although I'd never knock the commitment that he has shown the club over the years.

I thought he had a better game, but if I had to pick a MOM even though he was at fault for the second goal I would have to say it goes to Michael Kippers, if it was not for him in the second half it could have been 6 or 7 nil.

"I" never said that he was useless last week. But he did have a poor game against Plymouth!

Kuipers - At fault for second and third goals, but agree kept ht escore right down with trdaemark saves. Would expect to see Roberts back as soon as McGhee finds possible.

danny always seems 2 start the season slowly and improves bit by bit as the season goes on.was the same in div 1 last year and he improved last season as the season went on 2.

The answer to your question is that there was a massive overreaction on here to his first two games. The penalty wasn't his fault, it was Reid's, and in the Reading game he didn't get enough support from the midfield when the Royals were clearly targeting his wing. Yes, the third goal was his mistake but every one of our back 4 has made errors this season so far.

The problem is that our back 4 have been put under too much pressure and we know that they are not the kind of world-beaters to be able to cope with that. We need more protection for them by our midfield rediscovering its combative bite and workrate of last season. I am doubtful whether our current fit midfielders can provide that.

Had not looked at it, but the whippet shagger that announced the teams had not done his research and announced the FDM as Michael Kippers on Saturday. That was actually one of the highlights.

Glad Dan played well. I mentioned on an earlier thread that as a youngster he is bound to be a confidence player and by getting a call up and playing well for the under 21's was sure to boost his confidence. More of the same on Tuesday young Mr harding
