The FA need to have bigger balls when it comes to these decisions. It was not a red card. Yet Barton can stamp on a player, the ref sees it and says its ok.

Not vaguely surprised but still ****ing angry.

Mike Dean's incompetent performance as a homer ref has potentially cost us promotion and now the FA close ranks and brush it under the carpet.

Very angry about this, and feel for the player who has been outstanding all season and would have loved to see it to the end. Has it been mentioned that he was having the game of his life at Boro - was winning everything.

But now we must draw the line and move on to Wednesday on Friday (if you see what I mean!).

Never been sent off before in his 8-season career. Not exactly a malicious player. Not as though that makes any difference to those c**ts.

These appeals have GOT to be run by an independent body. They cannot be allowed to close ranks like this. They are as corrupt as FIFA. They make me want to vomit.

Wankers.

Hughts must be blowing a fuse.
Best thing we can do is focus on beating Wednesday, then winning the thing on the day. Shove it right up the FA and then get the chance to give Mike Dean hell next season when he refs a game.

Maybe we should all write to the FA and make an official complaint about the service we have received, the fact they did nothing to help us when our ground was sold without us having a new ground to play in, the fact that they have consistently f**ked us over this season and genuinely offered us no service at all.

The FA is the governing body for the game in England and is primarily responsible for all regulatory aspects of the game, running the England teams and organising The FA Cup and other domestic competitions.

If you would like to submit a complaint to The FA, you can put it in writing addressed to:

Customer Relations
The Football Association
Wembley Stadium
PO Box 1966
London
SW1P 9EQ
Tel: (0) 800 389 0699 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm)

We will strive to respond within five working days. If further information is required, we will send a comprehensive response within a further ten working days.

Alternatively, you can e-mail your complaint via the feedback form

Still not satisfied? Contact the Independent Football Ombudsman (IFO).

The Independent Football Ombudsman was established at the beginning of the 2008-09 season and will have a clear remit to receive and adjudicate on complaints from football supporters and participants which have not been resolved by the football authorities, and to raise any policy issues which have been highlighted by those complaints, directly with The FA, Premier League and The Football League.

The creation of an Ombudsman will maintain a position as the independent and final arbiter of football complaints.

For further information on the IFO, please visit www.theifo.co.uk

Love the fact that it's all done behind closed doors. They don't even have to justify their decision to the clubs or the fans. How come practically every TV pundit said the decision was wrong? We are being punished twice for a challenge that wasn't even a foul - in the Boro match and in the play-offs. Could cost us £200m. Absolutely disgusting. Something needs to be done.
