This does not even take into account our development squad who will hopefully get a look in over the cup games.

I am sure Gus will keep working to build and improve, if this is the current squad we have a great season ahead and can hopefully keep adding in January and next summer.

I would be amazed if Gus drops Barnes like El Abd he is ever present it fit. However if he bags a player of Thomas Hitzlsperger standard we will be re doing our team selections. Gus will probably rotate deepening on games and fixture build up as well.

assuming "New1" is a big powerhouse midfielder who can plug the gap in the centre that so many clubs exploited successfully last season and "New2" is a striker who can command in the air and also has the pace to play up alongside CMS so that he is no longer isolated.

Or just a talented player who's become a figure of hate for a lot of nsc's finest.

Not hate or dislike.
Probably a lovely guy and worth keeping in the squad, and his service in the promotion season was immense.

Just that the hard and harsh Championship requires pace and power in Midfield, unless you have great talent like Vicente or say Whittingham. Dicker hasn't got that unfortunately, and we want to be promoted; not nostalgic about the 2010/11 team.
