That really is a feat of staggering proportions, safely landing a one ton craft on a planet half a billion miles away and the complexity of the descent onto the surface is quite staggering - truly an Olympic achievement by mankind.

We will have men on Mars within 20 years. Probably the Chinese.

I may have misheard, but I thought the News said yesterdaay that Obama wanted a manned mission to mars by the 2030s.
