We were linked with a youngish Italian CB weren’t we? If we can get him in too then we are pretty much done defensively which would be superb work this early on.
Diego Coppola. We’ll see what happens with that as we have apparently secured the signature of Olivier Boscagli after all

I'd say we probably need another right back unless he plans to play Wieffer there or Kadioglu returns quickly.

A kid yes. I’d argue against the need for anything to extravagant with Ferdi, Veltman, Wieffer and Hinsh all around.
Has to be said, what I’ve seen and read about the Brazilian suggests he is very much a winger now.

I wonder if he'll go straight into the first team. Estupiñan hasn't been anywhere close to the levels we saw 2 years ago.

His defending was utterly terrifying last night. Admittedly he was against Salah and had little to no support from Adingra, but my god did he have the crowd (and the manager, and the team) on edge at times.

He played left wing for Botafogo at the weekend.
Nothing really stood out from him other than a shot across the box which just curled around the far post.

Suggestions out of Brazil we've agreed personal terms on a 5-year deal with him, and are now looking to finalise the deal with Botafogo.
Awaits thousands of posts from NSCers outraged that Albion have been speaking to a player contracted to another club before an agreement with said club has been reached...

Wonder what those two are up to now.
Last I heard Christian Baz was plying his trade in Wellington, New Zealand but I think he’s now retired.
Augustine Battapiedi played for a number of junior clubs in Argentina but I think is also now retired.

We seem to be obsessed with signing FBs who are actually wingers (Barco, Ferdi, now this guy, and Pervis seems to have forgotten how to defend). I feel like we need a couple of FBs who are actually FBs.

I think Perv is getting some unfair stick. He got no cover from Adingra but was still asked to push forward when he could. No wonder he had a tough game (against Mo Salah btw).

Yes, he did a few head mental things, but wasn't as bad as some are painting him.
Did you leave at 80 minutes?

Yeah he played pretty well but he just lost his mind on at least three occasions which is concerning.
I thought he looked shaky throughout ... he's the only one last night who I thought was off par. Having said that, I wasnt sure how Bart let their second goal in, but apart from that, he made two good saves and was solid.
Pervis made me nervous.... hey .... that could be a song....

Bart, Oh Bart, made a bad start
but Mitoma arrived and fired home his dart
Then Hinshelwood..... in fact, Hinshel did,
Meet O'Rileys cross , and off came the lid.
But Pervis - you made me nervous.

Needs some work.... ok a lot of work....

Maybe he's the Adingra replacement? As Adingra offers no defensive cover for Estupinian, maybe this guy plays on the left when Mitoma isn't playing. A left midfielder who used to play left back so will know what's needed. Plus can slot in if we get injuries.
