North London is on Surrey's doorstep is it? Oh my! Charlton and Millwall I'll give you. Arsenal and Spurs? Hilarious.

Answer the question?Who Is your competition?
While North London is not on our doorstep ?London clubs compete for London support .If you think not then you are very naive.

I like the fact that crystal palace or any other club for that matter is trying to do the best it can to help fans have a good day at the game , you just cant print the fixtures and expect people to turn up anymore , i just cant shake the feeling that when these game makers fade away after 2 games they will be replaced with more draconian measures by the palace board and i just keep getting this image pop into my head .

From Paul Barber:

"You may also have seen our new Match Makers out and about for today's match! Picking up on the Olympics theme of Games Makers, our volunteers are there to guide you, help you, and make your visit to the Amex as good as it can possibly be!"

You are tho , we are a few thousand down on our average and that's about our support 12 to 15 thousand I'm proud that most of those are definitely not plastic .
It's been that way for a good few years since Wright/Bright and Coppell ,of course a few more Come out when we are playoff chasing(Plastics) I'd prefer it if they stayed away, you can only measure your support when you have been crap for a few years.
I'd prefer the floaters turn up when we needed them.

Please f*** off with your mind numbingly boring 'plastics' mantra from you idiots. Yes. Idiots. If any of you had any intelligence you'd know the full story about our recent attendances-especially the Withdean factor.

What you are seeing now is a football club that has had its financial shackles removed and is embracing the modern approach to football-which, like it or not is here to stay. Clubs like yours have f***ed the system twice and you're still in a shithole of a stadium experiencing declining revenues and attendances. Huff and puff all you like about 'plastics' because we all know that what is happening at Brighton annoys the f***ing day lights out of ALL of you. At least other clubs who went down the 'Let's screw all of our creditors' route ended up in a much better position: Swansea, Cardiff, Southampton, all ended up with new stadia. You dopey bar stewards are still in a delapidated dump with no hope for anything better unless your Tony Bloom comes along. Of course, Portsmouth are an exception but then they are as deluded as you lot.

Keep calling us 'plastics' because it doesn't bother us-we know it is your home made therapy to compensate for the mess your club is in.

Where you not struggling to sell 7,000 in the 2nd tier?
Cardiff had about 1,500 our gate was crap Saturday had more against Forest on Tuesday night.
We do have Arsenal spurs Chelsea west ham the Knuckledraggers and clowns on our doorstep.
Who do you have Bognor and Lewes to compete with?

So do you or do you not have Arsenal and Spurs on your doorstep? You seem confused.

Let's assume post one is what you really think. It would take you about 35 minutes to get to Arsenal from East Croydon or about the same time as the fast train to Brighton so the answer to 'who is our competition' is actually you lot, a competition you are losing all down the Brighton mainline.

OK now let's assume post two is what you really think. There used to be a profusion of Premiershite shirts round Brighton and the surrounding areas. Particularly Chelsea and Spurs but Arsenal, Man U and Liverpool too. These are now disappearing and being replaced with Blue and White stripes as people warm to our world class stadium, entertaining top of the table side and large noisy crowds. We're not winning people back from a local competitor, we're winning them back from Spurs and Arsenal, the very sides you're complaining about.

Sorry forgot QPR and Fulham too,you have just answered an important question about SOME of you fan base they are not BHA are they?
Unless they are Fatboys(turncoats ) ?Cringe ...most people where I grew up supported a London team and that's fair enough.Im not complaining mate the facts are we have three championship clubs just in South London competing for fans.Where as you have Lewes and Bognor.

Jesus you are a thick tw@t.

You obviously don't understand catchment areas do you ?

Its not the land mass area that is important it is the amount of people who live in the area.

Sussex has a population of just over 1 million people of which several major towns are sited nearer to other League clubs than the Albion.

Whereas Palace is sited in the heart of South London and has close to 6 million people living within a 10 mile radius of it. Even taking Charlton & Millwall into account you have several million people to draw on who live within easy travel distance of Palace - yet you have half the support we do. Why ? because you have tinpot support.:D
