The road junction outside the Horse & Groom at Polegate used to have just two narrow lanes on the southbound carriageway. One was for traffic going straight ahead towards Eastbourne, the other was for traffic turning right towards Wannock. The council helpfully painted large four-letter abbreviations of the options on the road surface of each lane.

Yep drive down the WNK road a fair bit.

Shatton Hall in Shatton in Cumbria is not a great place to have to explain when giving your address out. Especially if you describe as being near the hills called Great Cockup and Little Cockup. All of which are, of course, just south of Cockermouth.
