Is there a country, county or town that you two can't make claim to? :lolol:
Probably not.

:lolol:

I'm English born (Leeds), have lived in Yorkshire, SE16, South Wales, Birmingham, Italy and Sussex - but have Irish, Scottish and English ancestors.

Roz is Hampshire born, but has lived in Sussex, Ireland, London and Essex - with Irish, Australian and Welsh ancestors.

Wicket is doing absolutely bugger all although that may be because the South African bowlers are waaaay too tired to get anything out of it. 300 on a fifth day wicket is possible mind so I would imagine we'll bat to the end of today and have a thrash tomorrow for about half an hour if we get that far.

They are just talking about the pitch now. Allan Donald suggests the cracks in the pitch are going to get wider, could be a lot in it for Harmison if that is that case and if Giles can bowl then we've got a great chance especially as our bowlers have had nearly two days off.

thanks for the update CTS. real bummer not being able to watch it but nsc comes to the rescue once again! have not seen albion for three years now due to health reasons but this site at least keeps me up to date with most things. i agree that if we can we need to bat right thru today and see where we stand then. no point in giving them too attainable a target given where we were at first day

Past the 300 ahead mark. Pitch is starting to do things with South Africa having taken the new ball. They are looking VERY tired now.

So, will England declare tonight? Or just keep slogging?

We need to tempt the South Africans into believing that this game is winnable by them. A required run-rate of about 3.6 an over looks about right. That means declaring when we've got a lead of about 390 - in about four or five overs time.
