Was in there before Christmas. It was OK, but no Magners and a Cardiff City fan playing dominos with a Liverpool Fan.

Which was nice.

Fair enough - no Magners would be a problem. Presumeably any pubs would be full of Northerners watching Man Utd v Liverpool

There was another place across the road - don't know the name - where ERNEST was drinking last year

Hiney, we are going to have your kids with us. I don't really think you ought to introduce them to Ernest.

What time are you picking me up? I quite fancy watching that there Man Utd - Liverpool game.

The last couple of times we have ended up on the other side of town, there are a couple of pubs next to each other, both do real ale for the old and weird lot and one place had some decent Belgium beer on the go. Cannot remember what they were called though, which is an issue.

I think you mean the Borough Arms, which is a real ale pub, there's another pub opposite that one.

The pub opposite the British Lion (where Ernest was last year) is the Brunswick.

There's lots of other pubs along the main road by the ground, all away fan friendly. Plenty of chippy's and other fast food joints too.
