Crewe, who looked like they were going to be fellow strugglers this season, have now signed up strikers Luke Rodgers, Juan Ugarte, Michael Boulding, Man Utd youngster Eddie Johnson & Slovakian Pavol Suhav to sort out their goalscoring problems.

Quantity not quality, perhaps, but there are a couple of very shrewd signings in there.

I think Ugarte is a guality player who could do a good job, but why have they signed so many strikers, do they not have any from last season. I am sure they had a lad called Jones(?) who looked quite a good player.

Steve Jones I think and he scores goals quite freely in this division as well. Lets hope their defence is stilla shambles like last season.:lolol:

In fact Crewe are starting to look a bit like Jordan, loads up front but not much anywhere else.

I still think Crewe will be pretty shite this season, they were pretty poor when they had Ashton and these guys are no replacement for him. They'll finish below us!

With Ashton they were'nt poor. They stuffed us twice in a month and before he left for Norwich they were on the fringe of the play offs. Ugarte scored a hatful for a struggling Wrexham team in just a few months, he could make all the difference for them. As ever, a 20 goal a season striker is the key to staying up or dropping.
