crowd of 2,500.

Not a bad start for Crawley.

On the subject of the conference, I notice that Carlisle got over 7,000 on Saturday.

Yep. The ref was from Chichester - and had spent a week at the beginning of the month at a scout camp in Ardingly. Aparently it was his dream to ref Crawley's first home Conference game....

Went to the game tonight, and Crawley were extremely lucky to get anything tonight, there goal was a quickly taken free-kick that should of been cleared off the line but trickled in somehow.

Crawley were outplayed in the first half and lucky to be only 1-0 down at H-T. They had a lot more of the game in the second half, but overall were lucky to come away with a point.

Danny Marney played as striker. Didn't make much impact.

Danny Marney hasn't played much recently. He didn't start either of their previous competitive games. He certainly looked off the pace last night.

Crawley rode their luck, but Hereford's finishing was woeful. Actually, I don't think Andy Little had a save to make in the second half (except collecting a dodgy "back pass" that was actually a mis-kicked clearance).
