Just copied my lines off the other message, couldn't be bothered to type it again.

Must have been 50 to 100 Albion, with Fatboy and Samrah doing sterling work with the leaflets and a mike. There were a good few in the home bit of the North Stand, but not enough together to get any Falmer songs going. I felt Marney had a blinder in the second half. Bob Booker was there today, so if Leon Knight goes in the summer, I think Marney will be back to give Jakey some competition. Last season was obviously. His play off the ball and positional sense were superb and he was unlucky not to get a goal, both when he chased in Mo Harkin's cross and the lob that led to Crawley's second goal. First half I thought "what are we missing"? but I think he can definitely still do a job for the Albion. I wasn't too impressed with Wilkinson (have Weymouth got him permanently now?) or Pethick, who though he was solid enough defensively, his distribution was poor. First half was poor, though second half was a classic, with Crawley dominating, but nearly doing an Albion and throwing it away. Claridge's miss

:lolol: :lolol: :lolol: Good atmosphere, but I was surprised by how few 'lads' Crawley. Only 20 or so seemed to be singing and most of them were kids. I'm sure they used to get more in the Ifield End at the old ground.

I had the misfortune of being at the end of the ground where the Weymouth Fans were. Not that they were a problem - it was the dickheads on the Crawley side constantly spoiling for a fight and trying to incite the opposition fans. They didn't seem like regular fans - maybe Millwall fans warming up for tomorrow?

One of the Weymouth Fans, wearing a shirt and tie complained to the stewards about a number of them. That led to the almost farcical action of one of the stewards following one of them out to the loo at the far end of the ground. We could see them tracking all the way round the pitch. I gathered from the expression of the steward when he came back that he had 'asked him to leave'.

Can't think why anyone would get that worked up about a non-league game. For me, non-league football is a joy compared to the hostility and seriousness of league football.

Crawley just about deserved to win, by virtue of Weymouth's finishing being dire.

I think Crawley probably deserve promotion by virtue of their reasonable league positions in recent years but when I saw them at Eastbourne earlier this year I wasn't overly impressed. Still, a good stadium and an excellent attendance today so I imagine they would cope pretty well in the Conference.

was there and very enjoyable game, Weymouth looked like winning early on as Crawley struggeld to string any passes together then at HT a stalemate goaless draw appeared on the cards. Both teams too frightenened to give anything away. Reds boss Vines said on radio he asked his midfeiled to push up and soon they took a 2 goal lead in as many minutes, good atmosphere appeared to be well stewarded and the parking was handled wlel too even on exit police to help ease the flow away from the ground. Marney showed sum good touched on the ball and in the end was a lone striker asd Crawley heldd on as when Weymouth scored late on and 5 mins extra time they literally mustve all been relieved to hear the final whistle. Crawley derserved to win just and i hope they go on to win the lead (point clear now) it does look like only one of todays teams making it to the conference premier league next season. I dont like the way Weymiyth have bought their way to success and on past form Crawley have promsied so much and faded in the final hurdles, maybe this season will be different i hope so, they derserve it. Few Crawley mob did their best to get at the Weymouth fans but the Stewards appeared to hold them back. I made it 11 i think it was league games had lower attendances today. If Crawley make it to the title next seaosn we could see regular crowds of around 3000 easily at the Broadfiekd - if only the Albion couldve played hear rather then Withdean. What a joy to be on a terrace and a proper ground covers atmosphere and all.

ive never said i dont back Falmer my standing is i believe building it finacint it making it really happen will be far far far more difficukt that sum over wait politician getting a rubber stamp out. Also i have concerns that Dick has put all his eggs in one basket and the yoke could bee on him should Falmer not happen, thats just my concern that it is foolhardly to be tunnel viusioned in this situation, time will tell and also if Falmer is a no (which i am almost 100% certain it will be a Yes) but should it be a No i really do hop ethe club have plan B though coz the vision of Falmer is theres no alternative the club are hardly likely to admot to a plan B. Oh and also my concern also centers around the fact that the club shouolvde been investing in the CURRENT playering side AS WELL as a new stadium and they appear to have placed all bets in the new stadoun AT THE EXPENSE of the team and thats a mistake. Nothwithstanding this i am not againt a new staium and Falmer is a rewasonable site despite it being very contraversal with its positioning etc.

I stood on the half-way line (by the scoreboard) with Fatboy's dad.

We found everyone very friendly. The banter was great! They wished us all the best with Falmer.

As I work in Crawley, I may go to another game.

Was there trouble? I thought the Weymouth fans were held back!
