Jones pushes Bridcutt piledriver onto the bar. Great save! Still 2-0 Brighton (70)

@AndyNaylorArgus: Oscar's shoot on sight policy adopted by Bridcutt. Fierce 25-yarder tipped onto the upright by keeper Jones. #bhafc

Interesting to hear Naylor describe OG's 'shoot on sight' policy, how refreshing. You can't score if you don't shoot. I wonder if OG also places greater emphasis on shooting practice because certainly Bridders and Crofts would benefit.

FT: Crofts had a great game, Ince looked good as did Barker and Chicksen. Maximenko looked pretty sharp going forward but seemed a bit light weight at times when defending. All in all an enjoyable game.

Oh and worth saying Sexy Pete made some good saves. One at point black range that was pretty spectacular tbh

I make that no goals conceded from open play in all friendlies, that's pretty impressive despite the fact they are friendlies I still think that's a good sign

Everywhere
First half pretty ineffective bar a few kaz runs. Second half we were more dangerous going forward, however we seemed susceptible to crosses into our box. Decent run out overall. Barnes looks really sharp and looks like he's gained a yard of pace from somewhere. JFC unfortunately looked of the pace first half but came into it later on. Rohan Ince is an absolute monster but very ungainly, I do think there is a good footballer in there somewhere though!

Just got back.

I thought Chicksen got better as the game wore on, looks like a good player, Kuszack fumbled a cross which wasn't great and Lua Lua played really well. Everyone groaned when he went over holding his ankle but thankfully come back on for the second half.

Who else thought Ince was a man mountain but a bit bambi on ice? Reminded me of a young Carlton Palmer!

Fans were in a good voice, liked the the two Garcia songs, especially the one nicked from Palace! Instead of "Reeeeed and Blue Arrrrrrmy" It was sung as "Oooohhhh Oscar Garciiiiiia" each time it was sung Oscar waved :lolol:

Couldn't really tell any difference to what Garcia has done, we still played it along the back and sometimes hoofed it up but I guess it's a work in progress. Only difference was when the first teamers came on, whne we had the ball then we did try and quicken the pace of the passing which did open up Crawley quite a few times especially down the left where Barnes was running in. Unfortunately only Ulloa in the middle each time but good to see.

One special mention though to Forster Caskey, ran the show in the first half and was quality, much better than Crofts. Everything ran through JFC, I wouldn't be surprised to see JFC get the nod ahead of Crofts come the Leeds match.

Was there a PLAN B on SHOW ?

Difficult to gauge what the plan was.

Gone was the 5-6 passes between the centre-halfs.

Gone was the absolute fear of giving the ball away.

More passes through the middle.

Much more shots than normal from range.

PS: Despite the constant complaints from posters re the admin of Brighton.......it was good to go to a League 1 club and see how hopelessly dis-organised and amateurish their ticket office and food outlets were.
