Official site says MM indicated he is keen to sign Brittain up permanently after tonight's display.

He would be a good addition although I think Mocquet has a lot to offer and deserves another look.

That can only be a good thing, he looks a really decent player.

Good display from the youngsters tonight particularly in the 1st half although Crawley were pretty poor.

Dean Cox was my man of the match - very lively and inventive. Interesting to see him in the centre midfield role given his size but he did well. Chamberlain again looked like he could develop into a good first team player.

At the back Fraser and Breach were solid and Hinshelwood got better as the game went on.

Frutos has a stormer but I'd expect that against this opposition. Brittain needs games and lack fitness but has good ability on the ball and a nice touch. Moquet looks a totally different player with electric pace with little end product. He had a very strange crossing action, but was unlucky not to get a penalty in the 2nd half.

Mcbreen was very disappointing and I'd be surprised if we take him on. He just didn't get the ball at all and his workrate wasn't there either. Gatting had a good game and Revell was OK when he came on.

Overall a good game for the youngsters and hopefully will mean we sign Brittain and keep looking for that elusive target man.

Don't put anything past McGhee. He'll probably sign him.

Seems positive enough, was this more or less the same Crawley team that beat Millwall recently, didn't see the Crawley line-up?

If we're happy with Brittain then hopefully Mocquet will get a chance with the first team tomorrow.

Felt sorry for Crawley their shirts didn't match the shorts, there was no club badge, no shirt sponsor, they really look down and out.

Having said that, their number 12 had a blinder, if you want a full back McGhee have a look at him. He was a typical hard as nails type, never, ever ever gave up, and he won the ball, and controlled it, and cleared it. Seriously, perhaps could do a job? (maybe I'm going mad though)

Sounds positive even if Crawley only have 5 established first teamers.

Glad to see Cobbs came on, I think he is an excellent prospect. Might even be worth a few games at LB next year, probably as sub but is strong, quick and decent on the ball.
