My craving was definitely 'budget', as it doesn't seal or give impossibly hard corners.
I do like a good hot dog toastie filling the pocket with diced sausage and ketchup, that won't be possible with this.
But it did make very nice cheese toasties all the same.

It's a cracking bit of kit, and looks like it's geared for better quality 'dining' so stuffed panini's & pittas could be on the menu at Stat Towers for a little while.

Oh and very clean, no mess, which is always a positive.

£25 from Argos.

Oh boy do I have some news for you!

Well after numerous failed attempts to upload a photo I can reveal I too had cravings for toasted sandwiches and only last Sunday bought the EXACT same device! I was a little disappointed at first as I was hoping for a sealed sandwich but after creating several panini based lunches I am very pleased with it

Toasted Cheese and Onion is gorgeous in its simplicity and yet so rewarding. I would also recommend a Christmas toastie of Cheese, Turkey and Branston....superb !

Yay the craving wouldn't stop so the Stat's are now proud owners of this bad boy:-

Luckily I've just bought it, instead of this morning, or else we would have had toasted roast dinner sandwiches, for lunch.

I have the very same, my suggestion for this is : Sliced Ham, Sliced Tomato, Basil and lashings of Goats cheese...OH MUMMA

Have just dug my 'vintage' (read old and manky) Breville toaster out from the void that is the under the sink cupboard, and will now spend some time getting her into shape for some serious cheese and onion action...

Btw seals and makes hard edges simultaneously! Blinder!

And WILL remember to only use marge as lube that has NO water content, so as to avoid stickage due to evaporation...

I'll just about manage it :lolol:

And the $64 000 question is: What is the best marge to use to avoid stickagio ???
Or you ditch the retro classic in favour of the new kid on the block, cos that doesn't need outer spreadage.

I feel something major is about to befall all things Albion.

Edging towards 2 pages about cheese toasties, must mean something monumental is going down.
