A council spokeswoman said: "We would not have removed any flowers so soon after they were left. We don't have a set time period that we leave floral tributes for but we certainly would at least wait until they had died."
I hadn't appreciated that some people leave floral tributes before their friends/relatives die.
Pensioner run over by street cleaner's cart

A 74-year-old woman has been taken to hospital with "life threatening" injuries after being knocked down by a road sweeper's cart.
The accident happened outside Preston Manor in London Road, Brighton, at about 11am.
The woman, who has not been named, was taken to hospital.

Hove Road Policing Department attended the incident and will be carrying out an investigation with the Health and Safety Executive.
