1-1 away at Millwall is a brilliant away result. :clap2:

It sounded like we played ok, Dicker played well from the sounds of it in the second half. Cracking goal aswell, great ball in from the right by Virgo, and quality header by Forster. Well, awful header but it went in! :lolol:

I see the goal came down our right. I really pity El Abd playing there. It can't be easy, playing so hopelessly out of position when you're also lacking in confidence. Fair play though, it could have been a LOT worse.

I think we'll be absolutely FINE this season. Top ten finish.

We got a brilliant result away from home at a good league 1 club, with Adam El-Abd at left back, then right back!!! Which makes the result look even better.

I still like the bloke. I'd rather have 11 committed El Abd types than 11 Glen Murrays with twice the skill but no passion, heart or interest in the club.

I see where you're coming from and you've got a point. We need commitment and effort, but we also need the ability. El-Abd has all the commitment in the world, but has very limited effort. I think he can do a decent job at centre back which his strength and his ability to occaisonally to put a good tackle in. But the problem with him is he backs off, and he grabs other people's shirts and he wanders out of position... He's such a liability at times, and he's just not good enough to justify playing him frequently because you KNOW there'll be a mistake before too long.

I'm not saying he's necessarily good enough, although he had a great season in 07-08 in this division in central defence/midfield. However, the poor bloke will never be anything other than a shambles at left back.

The problem with us, and we did this last year, is that we all think brilliant away point today (last year Leicester, Peterborough, win at Millwall). Yet we dn't back it up with a result against the sides we should beat at home.

If we had beat Stockport and Walsall, then to me this would be a great result, but we need wins...
