Is it just me or I thought we played a 4-2-2-2 tonight with Barnes as a striker? I may be wrong but this is what I think it looked like.

That was my interpretation of the formation:

Kuszczak
Bruno ~ Greer ~ El-Abd ~ Bridge
Bridcutt ~ Hammond
Buckley ~ Orlandi
Mackail-Smith ~ Barnes

I wish Southampton would recall Hammond. They could probably do with him right now, and we won't miss him.

f***ing hell that was an infuriating game of football to watch.......ridiculous penalty against , Brown should have gone for hauling down Buckley , and we are afraid to have a shot on goal. it's all very well playing attractive , passing football but it needs to be played with a view to getting the f***ing ball in the goal...........we made leeds look like they had a chance when they actually were played off the park for large portions of the game, the crowning glory when mr dicker made an appearance late on and had an air-swing in front of goal that most 14 year olds would bury their heads over.........orlandi's miss in the first half ...unbeleivable.......paddy kenny, two excellent saves from the pen and crofts late on.......mason needs to explain how brown stayed on the pitch .......it was basically a professional foul........we are capable of playing very attractive football but we also appear to have prolonged lulls in intensity and we gift average looking teams like leeds , ipswich and birmingham points that would be far better on our total.........unless a few more players have a pop now and then i don't think we make the play offs this year.

and yes , as plooks says , we do need some luck........with a bit of luck we win that game 5-0

Why the hell did Buckley get booked in the first minute yet when CDMA was on his way through and got fouled just after.... nothing. Leeds penalty was odd. If you give a penalty for that, then every corner there will be a penalty. Still he was consistent are second penalty looked a bit soft. I want refs to be consistent yes. But he did like to blow up a lot. The officials I have seen so far at the Amex this season have been awful. Even at the Barnsley game where we got most of the decisions. I liked it. But didn't think a lot of the were correct.........perhaps I still think I'm in the 80s. When you were aloud to slide tackle. Or even tackle. Is it still a contact sport???? Nothing better than a good strong challenge in my eyes, rarely get them these days.

Miss yes... Offside yes... Flag yes... Open eyes...hmmmm
How bizarre where I sit, there's only one thing between me and Orlandi.

And that's the linesman.

If this is how we lined up and I freely admit I was well oiled and sat in the north stand then it explains why we played SO MUCH better than we have in recent games. Long may it continue.
