Anyone know how big the Brentford leftback Charles is? Surely we can't keep getting away with this free headers for Revell thing :D

Very tall center backs too.

I think he's got to put CKR on the right to run at em. I would keep Jake but I'll understand if he goes with Cox because Cox will get at them more with the ball at his feet. Possibly even Frutos. Revell has to go in the center. Harty would have no chance in the air, although half his job has been pulling the center backs about to make space so might stay in.

He won a lot less against the gills left back, not sure how tall he was but looked bigger than the rotherham dwarf:lolol:

I agree that we should be looking at doing something different if Brentford's strengths are analysed by our coaches as markedly different to our previous two opponents.

I can remember a few months ago when we beat Millwall and then everyone said we MUST play the exact same line-up in the following vital game against Southampton. I never understood that at the time because it seemed clear that Southampton would play in a completely different style and a completely different formation to Millwall.

Agree. It's always a tough decision.

Just speaking to a Brentford fan and it sounds like their center backs are quite slow. Right back O'Connor is apparantly the best right back in the league.. Left back Charles isnt the best defencivly but good going forward (but Frampton may switch to left back).

Not sure how Revell and Kazim compare in the speed stakes but maybe CKR up top if they lack pace because he has the physicality too.

But McGhee did it anyway.

Yes he did and I had a whinge about it at the time. You see I always agree with everything McGhee does except when I don't :drink:

If pace is their problem, then that suggests Robinson should start. We have 5 credible candidates for the 3 positions up front and it's still a real brain-teaser which two to leave out and which 3 would be the right blend against a tall, physical defence.

Sorry L.I. could you repeat that?:lolol:

You're dead right - McGhee must leave Dean out of the squad altogether, I think I'm at my limit with the Carry On-style Double Entendres :thud:

Has to be Jakey. He put in a good effort the other night and scored. So really you can't drop him.But it does really depend on how Brentford line up or there tactics
