I didn't think there was any colour clash at all. One is wearing light blue and one is wearing dark blue - two totally different tones.

If I recall rightly, I think it was on QI, the Russian language doesn't actually have a word for 'blue'. They see what we call 'light blue' (and its variant shades) and 'dark blue' (and its variant shades) as two totally different colours, rather than our description of two tones of one colour.

In regards to the man u spurs game, as far as im aware, the home team has to give permission for the away team to wear their home kit.

wasn't it italian? i thought it was b*llocks cos of the famous Azzuri! until i asked an italian friend who said Azzuri means sky blue - i shot her down and said 'oh no - sky blue is like pale blue, like man. city of cov!'

to which her reply was - 'in italy the sky is this shade of blue' pointing out a deep and exotic royal blue ...

but not sure still ... any russians in today?

what is Napoli's nickname? not the azzuri i'm sure .... !

Am I imagining things or did we not play Reading (or was it QPR) in a cup game in the late 80s/early 90s and they had only brought their homekit. Their chairman refused to let them play in our away strip so we ended up playing in our away kit at home.

It was a league game against Reading. Strange that their change strip was almost like their home but blue & yellow instead of blue/white. We played in our away kit at home. i also remember young Shaka Hislop had a 10 out of 10 game in goal.

Incidentally, some years ago, in the FA Cup it was the home team that changed if a colour clash. Nice idea.
