Someone told me a couple of days ago about a Walter Mitty character who turned up at a rememberance parade wearing pretty much every campaign medal that had been issued since the First World War, plus a few awarded for gallantry...that gentleman certainly looks the part.
I can recognise a couple that he has on display...bottom left, I believe, is the Falklands Campaign medal (blue, white and green ribbon...fourth from the left on the top row is the Queen's Golden Jubilee medal (blue, white and red ribbon)...to have earnt both of them he would have to have been serving in 82 and 03, I think he looks a bit old for the latter! (But may qualify for what I reckon is the Italy Star on the bottom row...if he was in that area during the 43-45 period)
The first two on the top row are the DSO and MC, he then has an MM after the QGJM...I think it really should go before as it is a gallantary medal!
