Could Solar Panels create global cooling...

Reminded me of something I have thought about in the past:

In theory, if everybody had solar panels would the temperature of the world decrease?

As said the other thread, energy can't be created or destroyed, the energy used to make electricity/heat water would normally increase the temperature of the environment.

Thoughts?

Yes, but you'd need a HELL of a lot of solar panels. To power the entire human race's technology you would only need an area the size of Spain, which accounts for a very small percentage of the world's total area.

when the electricity is used, it will (mostly) be converted back to heat.
