If he had kept injury free throughout his career. He is a consistent performing left hander who i think is better than Mulally easily when on his day, especially when the ball is swinging around.

I think i'm wearing rose tinted specs but he definitley has talent...

I used to play junior cricket with Jason. He was a very talented all round sportsman but wasn't particularly motivated.

When he played adult grade cricket he didn't play in the best league but was eventually encouraged to try and play professionally - probably happened too late for him but I think if he had started on that track as a late teenager he may well have progressed even further.

He has been criticised by the coaches for not caring enough about his batting as he could be a very good number 8 or 9 in my opinion.

Probably too late for him now but still a very good county bowler.

I think he could have but for all his injury problems... He's so much better than Mullally ever was.

Yes you are 100% right on this one. Does anyone remember when Smith of Gloucs got chosen ahead of Jason. Even Sussex under-rate the great man.
He's the best bowler not to have played for England in the last 20 years.

Nah - don't think he's international standard. He's been a steady performer for Sussex, and he's no worse than people like Bicknell and Hoggard... but good enough for England?

Probably not. Which is good, because he looks in form this season and we can keep him to ourselves!

Do you reckon any (English) Sussex players are up to international standard?
