Cost of kits

I have just costed out buying two replica kits for my 5 year old and his two year old sister...£101.96 !!!!! This does include printing names and numbers.

My brother in law has just kitted out his three children in the new West Ham Away kit for under £90, not including printing. But, their infant kits are £29.99 and go up to a 6-7 size and include shorts and socks.

Is it not possible that the Albion does something similar? I have 'asked the club'!

Living in London i have started my attempt at indoctrination as early as possible, but at these prices i am really put off in buying them kits.

Aren't the club shop still flogging off last season's junior kits el cheapo? You could tell the kids that the new strip isn't half as good as the old one...

You could just buy them the Albion shirt, and get a pair of blue shirts and socks from a sports shop. Remember, WHU will sell a lot more replica kits than the Albion will, so they can benefit fomr quantities of scale, which we can't.

Fair point but Millwall have the same full kit offer for £29.99

With the stupid Errea sizes, the junior kits stop at age 9-10. My son who has just had his 10th birthday is now in a small adult shirt which adds an extra tenner to the cost.

Don't forget the current kit is only for this season, so you'll have to fork out all over again next season! Rip off replica kit? Never.

Doubt it will be long before the current away kit is filling the bargain bins at the club shop. Worst kit ever and yes I still have the Nobo away kit

You don't have to fork out for anything.

Exactly, you want to buy one, and therefore you may well do so. Why should they be any cheaper? They cost the same, whether for us or for United, if anything United should sell them for less as they have quatities of scale on their side.

Football shirts are suprisingly good value, you pay say £40 for one, and you may well wear it 25 or 35 times a year watching the Albion, if it is a 2 year shirt you may even wear it 70+ times, as well as incidental occasions, friendlies, reserves games, or, as some do, to the pub or elsewhere out and about. How often do you pay £40 on a shirt ande wear it that frequently?

If you take kids, my Godson wears his almost every single day playing, it is super hard wearing, washes up a treat (and his mum doesn't have a problem with heat applied transfers coming off, it's all about the wash cycle apparently), and it saves his mum a fortune in buying other tops for him, and it lasts at least a year. When it wears out I give him a new one, she hardly has to buy him any shirts (or shorts in the summer), she thinks it's a bargain.

Right that is one for ask the club. Why do us adults have to pay more for our shirts than the kids ? As a working parent I get bugger all time to play in the back garden, park etc, when compared to the average school kid. They clearly get far more value from their shirts and therefore should pay more.
