[Help] Copyright question

Hi all,

I had a question for any copyright experts out there.

Does anyone know how I find out if an item is still subject to copyright please? Who is the
best person/body to go to to find out?

This item was issued in 1935-1943.

I have some large 14" x 12" black & white photos of Albion in action from the eighties.
They were about to be put in a skip when the old Argus building was being cleared.
Someone who knew I was a fan rescued them.

One has Wardy and Grealish looking on as Lawro (crown paint logo on shirt) clears it for Liverpool.
Another is of the crowd at the FA cup final with a banner 'MAN UNITED WON'T BREAK THE BRIGHTON ROCK'
Must be loads of old farts that would recognise themselves!

A few have the Simon Dack copyright on the back some don't.
Obviously I wouldn't sell them but I've always wondered how I stand if I frame them and stick em on the wall ?
They all look like he has taken them to be honest so I could contact him I suppose.

If I got a certain well known technical bloke to tell me how to show them on NSC (would it be legal or not)



Seems a shame that I can't share them with you lot.

Think you'll need to be more specific than 'an item'.
