I was sad when SC left as I had convinced myself that he would remain at the club for years and lead the team out when we got to Falmer, he was doing a good job and the team almost avoided relegation under his management. That said I am more than happy that MM is manager and just hope that he hangs around for a few seasons, the club now seem to have a nice balance in the coaching set-up, it would be a pity to upset that when things have really started to look promising at last.
Coppout and MA left for 'bigger' clubs with superior facilities, but ended up jaundiced and disappointed.
Therein lies a lesson in life, it seems - better to be happy with humble beginnings and reap simple rewards that will endure.
I think Taylor was comparitively wise in that respect, even in leaving BHA for a dodgy prospect.
Mark McGhee is a King Solomon ! I hope he stays to see all the returns on his investment
