TOMER Hemed won the game for table-topping Albion at Fulham with his first goal in English football - after also winning the battle with strike partner Sam Baldock to be penalty taker.
The Israel international No.9's calm spot-kick deep into stoppage time pinched all three points, with opening goalscorer Baldock already substituted.
"It's a big pressure but for me as a striker it's my job and I need to be calm and concentrated, not think about what is happening around me. I'm happy I did that.
"Usually I score them. Most of all I'm really happy with the win. We gave everything."
Manager Chris Hughton said: "It's a really tough one because him and Sam are both used to taking penalties. Sometimes - and I know this is not always the case - the new signing that comes in gets a little bit of the edge, whether that's unfair or not.
"But the fact he scored against Seville meant he was obviously going to take them."
A 1-1 draw between Wolves and Hull at Molineux yesterday leaves Albion as the only Championship side with six points from their first two matches.
