Who do people think we are? Real Madrid???

He was banging goals in for fun in this league at the age SEVENTEEN, he'd be a great signing on loan.

Some of you lot are real keyboard warriors. The OP has made a thread asking whether as fans, we think that a realistic target would be able to do a job for us and he gets slated.

At least it's a thread about football and Brighton rather than some of the self obsessed shite that's posted by some others!!!

Yes, for fun. He is clearly a very serious young man though, not prone to excessive frivolity as in his only full season at this level he scored 9 goals in 41 appearances. :lolol:

That said I do think he would be a good signing, mostly unlikely as we would not play him every week which Sunderland would be looking for.

I trust Gus, but some how believe he wouldn't even be on Gus' radar. But i agree good do a job if bought in.

Yes he could do a job, but unfortunately that job will be for Ipswich as I'm seem to recall they have first dibs on him.

When have all these experts on Wickham seen him play? And why does LamieRobertson not think his attitude is right?

He looked very average last season when we beat Sunderland in the cup. Dunk played very well and kept him quiet.
Having said that, Wickham must be a decent player as Arsenal were scouting him for a while before he joined Sunderland.

just things ive heard..and as regards to seeing him play ive seen him a couple of times when up north..when he played for ipswich he looked the biz..bit seems to have done nothing since..in any case whos place in the team will he take? Hardly going to swap a sunderland bench for a brighton one IMHO

Reports today of Wickham going out on loan to Sheffield Wednesday.

Maybe as replacement for the sensational Bothroyd...............?

Scored a nice header for the u21s last night, though the opposition weren't up to much. Thought he hold up play was generally good too.
