Why can't women comprimise?

IMyself and my girlfriend are moving in a couple of weeks and the house needs a new bathroom, This i have said needs doing soon.

The missus wants it done straight away! I have said it will be a couple of months to get the cash together reminding her that both Moving house and bathrooms are not cheap.

This resulted in her going mad saying how i don't look after her etc etc and that the bathroom won't get done, floods of tears etc.

WTF was that all about! Needles s to say i'm went to work well and truly in the dog house.

It's not as if i said the bathroom would never be done... Argghhh.

In my computer
she obviously assumes you have enough money?? show her your bank balance and then show her how much a bathroom costs...she may be surprised?

can't believe she said you didn't take care of her though... thats a little harsh...

You have my sympathies. Women and bathrooms, it's, well, a tricky one. For you, a functional room to have a shower, a shit and a shave. For her, a spiritual place where hours can be happily spent. I have a feeling that bathroom will end up getting done sooner rather than later....

It sounds as though she is a bit uncertain about the move and a bit insecure.

It is easy to say something will get done when you have moved and then to put it off and put it off.

Assure her and give her a date for the bathroom.

You're moving in Ocotber so promise her you'll get the bathroom in the Jan sales. By putting a date on it she knows you're not just waffling.

Is the bathroom really grotty? It can matter to a woman

(Dear Deidre letters by pm please  )

Sounds all too familiar to me Goring, hope you find things have calmed down this evening. I doesn't sound as if you are being unreasonable either.

Perhaps :drink: is in order

She's probably suffering from PMT. My guess is that in a couple of days' time she'll throw her arms around you and tell you she doesn't care what the bathroom looks like, as long as she can share it with you. Trust me.

My wife and I are always coming to compromises so that we're both happy. Last year she wanted to go to Minorca on holiday and I wanted to go to Scandinavia. So we discussed it, and eventually we compromised - and went to Minorca.

She was happy, so therefore I was happy.
