NO! We only beat them at home on the last free kick of the game to get to the Euro's. Don't understimate them, they are turning into a good side!

Well done Greece!!!

I don't think we would have done.

As mentioned they are well organised, no star players but a lot of quality all playing well at the same time.

Something we were definitely not doing.

The fact that they beat the two teams that we lost to should be enough proof I guess.

I dont know if anyone else has noticed, but the Czechs, Greece and sweden etc don't have "WORLD FAMOUS SUPER STARS", but they Are playing as a team.

Holland seem to always play as individuals (team full of cracking players)

England, where is the next Buck coming from, I have to play for myself to make money!! :nono:

France...as per Holland.

Or am I wrong!?

Err the Czechs have the European Footballer of the Year - Pavel Nedved.

And a wonderful player he is.

Agreed totally, but then how many others can you name as world class or well known names,

Unlike England, France Holland etc

All playing for their own reputations....

You have hit the nail firmly and squarely on the head Northstander.

You can have as much talent as you could possibly want but if you don't play as a team, you get nowhere.

Team spirit is the 12th man (or the refereee)

We, as Brighton fans, have seen the proof of that (Cardiff, Reading, Swindon and Bristol City may also agree)

This is the reason I think Czechs will now meet Portugal (*remembering stoke game*) as they now have the belief and momentum. They will IMHO lose in the final to the Czechs!!

Er... any team in the semi-final or final of a knockout competition is going to have "belief and momentum"!!!

As for Czech not having word class players... Nedved, Cech and Baros are all quality and would walk into the England team right now. And I'd take Koller over Vassell or Trezeguet!!!

Have to admit that I found watching last nights game to be really frustrating, I thought the Greeks had a really ponderous approach to play, lots of short (but accurate) passing but few quick runs. I guess their game plan was to try and keep the play tidy and try to spoil the French way of playing fast attacking football, in that respect you have to say well done because it worked a treat.

They must have been watching the England game on Thursday night because I noticed one of their central defenders encouraging the whole defence to push forward on a number of occasions, thus compacting the midfield and not allowing the French any space to run into. Do I think England would have beaten them, difficult to say as they played a totally different game to Portugal, I think the best I can offer is maybe...

Having been to the Holland - Czech Republic game in Aveiro, and seeing a few others as well, I'd be very surprised if anybody other than the Czech's win this tournament. Nedved, Koller and Baros were different class on the night, and their second-string also beat Germany, although I know that's not saying much at the moment.
