It came down to a few things… better zoom, better battery life, slightly easier to grip and a (perhaps naïve) view that a newer model will have all-round benefits from technological improvements since the previous, even though the specs are remarkably similar.
The Sony RX100 was also a consideration, so the TZ200 was the middle option of the 3 from a price perspective.
I am VERY much looking forward to having a play with it this weekend
