and McGhee kept us up, you really have to mention facts like that you know.

I've quoted LI but that is only to put into context what I am going to say about the general discussion. Surely it is difficult to compare MM and Coppell's first seasons with us in the Championship considering One had a full season and the other came in about a quarter of the way through.

Both did well under different on field constraints.

The residual money wasn't much I think, seen a couple of references to that.

But if we paid 100k in transfer fee, 1k per week for say, 60 weeks then that's 160k.

I assume he was on 1k a week net, not gross.

Does transfer levy mean signing on fee?

If not then surely we've come up 90k short here?

(Sorry if I'm being think, can someone please clarify?)

We are a community club. There are rapidly growing schemes in place, such as Albion in the Community (which sends coaches like myself into schools to coach kids football and has summer schools and whatnot) plus adult education (i did a BTEC National Diploma in Sports Development and Fitness with BHA last year, and start Uni doing Sports Coaching & Devel in a few weeks) and other things as well.

A community club doesnt have to mean it's run by the fans. As the slogan says...

Not just about football - it's more important than that

It's an interesting question. Think we ended up paying about 85k to Bury so it might be a bit more than 90k left over. I would assume the club still has this money but you'd have to check with them to be sure.

Do you know, I think I will.

I read that it had to be spent by August 2006 (on El Pres' post) so wonder what happened.

No doubt there's a perfectly reasonable explanation.
