Happened to me today and I felt a bit silly although it was quite funny.

Some people at work were talking and I heard one of them say, 'Whitehawk is a bit scary'. So I jumped in and said, 'It's not as bad as people make out, I was brought up there'.

They looked at me like I had gone mad. Apparently they were talking about the film The Hobbit and one of them had actually said, 'That white orc is a bit scary'.

I had to explain that I had been brought up in an eastern district of Brighton and not Middle Earth.
