Gus should be more specific. It was comic goalkeeping that reduced the defence to a state of near panic.
In over 40 years of watching BHA that is, without question, the worst display of goalkeeping I have ever seen. The man is a complete and utter buffoon. He played just as he did at Stoke. Like a boy amongst men, like a rabbit caught in the headlights. Tuesday night was bad enough, gifting one goal and doing his best to give them more. Yesterday went far beyond that. It was at best comical, at worst, irresponsible, unprofessional and an offence against the trades description act. He let every BHA fan down, particularly 6000, who devoted a lot of time and money in the hope of seeing a competitive game against good opposition. He let his team-mates down and he let his manager down. The one person prepared to give him another run in the team, when we all knew in our heart of hearts that he was an accident waiting to happen. We've seen it before, bizarre and calamitous displays...Wycombe away, Stoke, Tottenham at the Amex, Millwall, to name just a few.
Where do we go from here. Well, firstly, he should never wear the shirt again and should be shipped out asap. Secondly, Gus must invest in a good, solid keeper ( e.g Harper ) We have 5 goalies, 4 0f whom cannot be relied upon and the 5th is unknown. We cannot move forward unless we are solid at the back. We deserved to lose yesterday but at least three goals were preventable. Some players wearing our shirt didn't deserve a hammering but got it as a result of our goalkeeper. Unforgiveable.
