Spaced is amazing.

If you've liked Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz, both of these are the attractive offspring of Spaced.

The whole reason Shaun of the Dead was even made is down to that episode of Spaced where Simon plays too much Resident Evil:

The film was inspired by the Spaced episode "Art", written by Pegg (along with his writing partner and co-star Jessica Stevenson) and directed by Wright, in which the character of Tim (Pegg), under the influence of amphetamine and the PlayStation video game Resident Evil 2, hallucinates that he is fighting off a zombie invasion.

I've only ever seen Spaced so it would be rather unfair to vote either way, loved it though

Neither here nor there
All of the Black Books series are available for free on 4oD.

I'm a very recent convert but would say that, even though some episodes are 13 years old, it's one of the best sitcoms I've ever seen and not dated at all. Can't believe I didn't show more enthusiasm at the time.

Hand on heart, I've never even heard of either of them.

Nope, neither of them.

I am getting old.

What they said,

All the episodes of Black books can be found here and are well worth a look

And Spaced can be found here (has dated a bit imo)

These two are up there in the list of my favourite comedies - both are pant wettingly funny.

I think it has to go to Spaced though, but it's not a decision i'm happy making as i don't want there to be a loser. Spaced wins down to the gun-fight scene alone.
