Chill out.

We're third. Look at the league and see where all the teams are that we have played. In theory, we have got an easier 1/4 of the season coming up.

OK, we've lost Jolly,Charlie, DC, Roberts, Blackwell & Watson.

DC - out for 1, at worst 2 games.
Charlie - good squad player, but will never set the world alight.
Roberts - FDM back now - sorted.
Jolly - not had a great start this season.
Watson - shadow of his former self.
Blackwell - Butters is doing a good job as a replacement.

Oh, and a small matter of a young lad called Robinson.
Lets give our own players a chance, if that doesn't work, then strengthen the squad. It's a long season.

I trust Coppell to make the decisions at the right time. It would be so easy to rush into the market and take someone on that's not right.

good post and I think Salako would be a waste of time, I would rather see Piercey, but Owuuugaaa would be good at anytime of the year SIGN 'IM UP

Salako is way past his best, and he goes missing when the tackles start flying. What do you expect from an ex-Palace scummer.

Have a look at Chesterfield's position right now to see how well we've done.

Even though they had a bit of dodgy help at the time, it's not so long ago we were vying with them for the 3rd division title. Now they look a right mess, and we're comparatively healthy.

Yes, yes... I know.. we're a bigger club and all that. But are we really when we play at a poxy athletics stadium? Money doesn't just appear by magic to strengthen this squad. Until we get Falmer, we're doomed to struggle along without any spare cash. Thanks heavens we've invested a decent proportion in a good manager now, otherwise we could have been in trouble instead of being frustrated that promotion's looking tricky.

As dwayne said, good post. People on here moan at Coppell for not giving the youngsters a chance & then moan when we play them because we haven't bought anyone.

In fact, people on here just like to moan :p

Well said both Stumpy Tim and trublue.

Stevie Coppell will do his best to get loan signings when we need them.

He surprised us last season with people he brought in and I trust him to do the same.

The public inquiry will be wound up next month and we no longer have to pay a barrister's fees so that will free up more money.

Got to agree with Larus, we're 3rd in the table and haven't really got out of 2nd gear. We've played 7 of the top 12 teams aswell so why is there a need to start moaning at lack of investment. I'd rather save money while we're doing well to use properly when its needed and not in just increasing the squad size forthe sake of it.

For anyone who buys matchday programs, grab all your copies for this season, turn them all over onto the back page and compare the number of players in our squad (not including no.98 of course) to the number of players in our opponents squad (including Sheffield Wednesday) and then understand why Coppell doesn't rush out to bring in more players on loan to replace those injured!
