The squad is gettin thinner by the day (Blackwell, Roberts, Oatway, Rodger, Cullip)... What if it's Knight next?

Time for a bit of team strengthening me thinks, Owusu & Salako would do for starters... Could do with another centre mid and centre back aswell me old china.

There has to be a balance between the team and Falmer, come on Dick, give Coppell a bit of bunce!

We will have to manage with what we have, until we have Falmer.........blah blah blah, then we will suddenly have pots of gold and rise like a rocket to challenge with Europes best, or so most people on here think.

I dont think people are saying that. Falmer is important, but why have a great stadium but a shit team? However I dont want another panic buy. Take our time, see who we can get, then make a move. No need to rush, we are fine at the moment...

Did anyone hear claus jorgenson metioned on the phone-in yesterday? apparently he's not got a club. I'm sure he'd want a fair bit but couldn't we get him on a short-term contract on lower wages? Everyone'd be a winner, we'd get a quality player to cover the loss of oatway and rodger, he'd get the chance to put himself back in the shop window. Or am I just hoping for too much?

Just be nice to see knight stick his hand in his pocket ???

He has stuck his hand in his pocket to the tune of £1.4 million, he is not in the Abramovic league so give the guy a rest. It his not his job to subsidise the club

Much the same was said on the official website (in Ferret Talk) on Friday.

My understanding is that the deal is not completely dead but requires either Owusu to have to make a significant financial sacrifice or possibly Wednesday to pay him off (he still has 18 months of his contract to go)

He only got 7 minutes yesterday, despite the departure of Kuqi.

Claus Jorgensen has signed a 2 year contract with Coventry City :(

I think everyone appreciates how much Dick has put into to Falmer but what about the team? There must be a balance somewhere between Falmer and team strengthening...

???

Yeah but thats in about 5 years!
No doubt he got that back already and maybe zammo's money went in his account who no's ha ha.

If the man has an estimated 80 million he can afford to do something, but he doesn't like spending as the 5 years or so we have spent 250k and made 1 million.

Yes i no falmer this and that will crop up,but he could have put half the zammo money in for strenghening very easily and the rest into falmer.:smokin: :drink:

Apparently theres a player languishing in the reserves at Spurs that might be useful at our level. Worth a try?

We've got plenty of cover - Virgo, Marney, Pitcher, and Carl Wilson Dennis - what's everyone worried about ? Plenty of quality there.....not......

I like anyone want to see a couple of new faces come in, but if we get loan players we are not really solving the long term problem. Get someone like Sidwell and he gets pinched by another club - or get someone like Henderson (who could'nt hit a barn door) and doesn't do more for us than McPhee would.

SC needs to be looking for a couple of permanent players who would be committed to the club, but I suppose if there's no money in the pot the names mentioned above may have to play.

That's the reality, and also why I don't fancy our long term chances.
