Me and the better half got in quite a heated argument last night about Colin Jackson. The missus is certain he's straight, but I am certain he is gay, who is right?? What do you think??

Ooh good question. I know he's verging on camp, but I think he's straight. Plenty of straight people about with that sort of aura, in the same way as there are some fairly tough gayers about - like that Kray brother or the former squaddie in American beauty.

Nothing 'alleged' about it. They were (are?) very much an item, for years - lived together in Bath. Through my work I've seen them together many times, including at one swimming event in Sheffield, where Colin asked politely if he could come into our control room to watch Mark's race close up. Colin was that day, wearing a rather fetching pair of tight jeans, with the word 'Bitch' written in diamante across the arse...
