Anyone know how much longer he will be out for??

It seems we desperately need a bit of no-nonsense defending and leadership at the back and for my money Hawkins is the man who can do that for us.

We also need someone who can score cracking own goals, and I believe that he is the man for that too.

Crodo - you are definitely my favourite poster on here at the moment.

Hawkins' return would be a CRACKERJACK boost of MARQUEE proportions.

I dont what makes anybody think that Colin Hawkins is the experienced defender we need . He has played less FL games than Elphick or Virgo and possibly even Tunnicliffe. If we were in the Irish League that would be a different matter.

You know what, you might have a point!

Could Colin Hawkins be the answer?

I am sure many of you remember the stick Guy Butters got when he first joined for being equally as gash, only to become a Brighton hero!

But Butters had played a far higher level than Hawkins before he came here. The reason he was so shit to begin with was his fitness, Hawkins just isn't very good.

No we dont, Elphick scored a great diving header last night.
Maybe thats the answer, Hawk and Elphick up front ala Virgo 4/5 years ago

Utter bollox, at the start of last season he was an absolute tank, he got injured and MA brought him back to quickly (Like Murray) and it ruined his season, I am being serious before anyone asks and I find the abuse he gets on here for a few mistakes disgusting.

Can he really perform any worse than the current clowns are? :wozza:

Did anyone else notice Elphick and El Abd swap over late in the Norwich game, with El Abd in the centreand Elphick out wide.

Maybe moving him into the middle might help to cure our current defensive problems, could be a good move as he seems to have been the most effective at clearing danger from set pieces in the middle of the area and its more his natural position.

I'm not fussed about who playes in defence so long as tunny and Jimmy Mac are in.

Colin COULD become a great player but who knows, worth a shot once he is not injured, if things are still going badly.
