Showing my age then. Definitely went to Jenkinsons on a few occasions - Freddie & the Dreamers - ouch! Can't recall going to Coasters though.

I was there for Freddie & the Dreamers. Also saw the Fortunes.

Anyone recall what year the council finally did away with the bye-law that said a disco/club had to up the lights at 11pm and serve you with a finger buffet? This allowed them to then dim the lights again at 11.30pm and carry on until, oh, can't remember, probably 1am or something. Was definitely still a bye-law up til the late seventies/early eighties.

I used to like going to Coasters as it was cheap to get in, also there wasn't a dress code.

I saw loads of bands there when it was Jenkinsons.
