Anyone else seen the story in the Argus tonight about Pride this year.
No, before you start, this is not me having a pop at the event - I truly couldn't give a toss - but its the woman in charge, she must be going mad.
Last year Pride was a financial disaster. They asked people to chuck a few quid in buckets and collecting tins to fund the clean up operation and when they counted it up it came to £23,482.49 which worked out at less than 15p per person who had attended.
So this year, they have come up with a better idea. They have decided to make the event smaller and charge an entry fee of a minimum of £12.50 pp for locals, and rising to £17.50 on the day.
Ms Manson said that this year's budget has been based on selling 45,000 tickets to the event.
She said "I am absolutley confident people will buy tickets"
I would like to know what makes her so confident.
Me thinks Ms Manson is deluded.
