Great manager and a genuinely good man.

Claudio Ranieri is set to step down from his post and walk away from the world of football after guiding his beloved Cagliari to promotion last year, before helping to secure Serie A safety over the weekend.

According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio and Sky Sport Italia, Ranieri will take a step away from football, although it has not yet been confirmed if he is officially retiring.

It was a mutually agreed termination of contract, as Ranieri had one year left on his deal that was due to expire next summer, in 2025.

Happy retirement, "mister Dilly Ding Dilly Dong".

Yep, agreed. Genuine legend of the game and really likeable guy.

Achieved one of, if not the, greatest achievement in English domestic football in winning the PL with Leicester, especially pleasing after being yet another of the managers thrown on the scrapheap by Chelsea

Still a mythical achievement with Leicester. All sorts of reasoning can be applied, but it will still remain utterly unfathomable.

Ranieri lost his final game tonight 3-2 at home to Fiorentina, last kick of the game in the 103rd minute was the Viola scoring a VAR awarded penalty...
