Heading for shore
Oh yes  and add to that The Southern Death Cult album from '83

I'm fond of a spot of Cult action. Electric was good fun too. Got to strum Billy Duffy's Gretsch White Falcon (oo err) during the Brighton Dome gig on that tour.

A final one, sort of NWOBHM, Michael Schenker Group self titled album of 1980, the track Bijou Pleasurette is a delight.

Too many to mention that any serious rock fan should have in their collection so I had to narrow it down to just the 3 albums I could take if cast away on a desert island:

Thin Lizzy- Live and Dangerous
Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast
Metallica - Metallica (The Black Album)

SF sorrow - Pretty Things
Playing with fire - Spacemen 3
Rubber Factory - Black keys

Just to throw a few 'slightly' alternative albums into the mix

Can't miss out "Stupidity" by Dr Feelgood.
Drive-by Truckers - Ugly buildings, whores and politicians - greatest "hits" 1998-2009 - the music is as good as the title. Also "The Dirty South" from the same band, all their stuff is worth a listen.
Anything by or featuring ("The Blasters" f'rinstance) Dave Alvin
"Live at Montreux" by Rockpile.

classic - bought this in Rounder records for 99p

Very dangerous, once you get into Gong you may well drift into the whole avant garde jazz rock genre and end up listening to things like Frank Zappas Black Page (as I am at this very minute). Not really Rock but rather wonderful....
