i do not beleive that photo is taken at 70MPH, there is no motion blur at all in the background.

Looks like that photo was taken from the drivers side of a passing car - driver using his camera phone? Pot, meet kettle...

Why would it be hippocritical of someone sitting in the back of a car taking a photo? how do you think they film most driving programmes?

"Clarkson makes me feel alright about being a right-wing twat so he can do no wrong"

Clarkson is a living legend and should be left alone to do as he pleases.

or, since there are several immeditaly obvious question over the authenticity of the photo, why believe a single word of the article.

if i wanted to snap some celebrity driving while on the phone, id take a photo from the front so you could actually see who it was. but thats a very tricky thing for a driver to do

Looks like the photo could have been taken in a car park.
didnt think of that, but yeah it could be. more stationary than 70mph thats for sure.

He is well up his own arse but that doesn't detract from the fact that Top Gear is a country mile ahead of any other motoring programme

I can't manage to watch beyond the break in the oh so inferior 5th gear, Top Gear is one of the very few must watch programmes on tv for me.

I thought the same. If that is supposed to be a motorway the trees on the far side look too close for another three lanes and a hard shoulder. There would also be vehicles on the other carriageway.

He added: "My girlfriend saw he was on his mobile. She grabbed hers and took a picture of him."

...where 'he' was the driver.

It was particularly cringeworthy last night going on about how fantastic the Daytona 500 was, SO much better than F1..., and btw Five will be showing NASCAR if you're interested!
