As we know that was Steve Claridge last game for us on his present contract.

He stated after last weeks game that he was about to talk to the manager about an extension. Well there is nothing on the official site about him getting one, do you think yesterday was his last game?

I don't think he ever has 'the pace'. He has other quilitys, but I think that probably was his last game for us. Although I would like him to stay as him and Knight link up well together.

I think he'll get offered a bit longer, maybe a month?

I reckon he'll get an extension, we need him as Virgs isn't doing it up there. He's done a good job so far, would be a blow to lose him.

I wonder if Mghee is waiting to see if he can still get Mcgammon or Quincy?

That's what I think, if we can't get anyone else then we'll give Claridge an extension until we can.

God help us if he's the best we can get. What about trying to sign the Goat from Reading, he'd give us something in the box.

We will resign him maybe on a pay to play deal. We cannot afford much more and I am sure MM will want to keep him around until we can sign someone (if that is the plan) on loan till the end of the season.

A goat among the kids. It could be a prophesy.

Reading are really disappointed with him so why would we want him here? Paying out wages for someone who can't score?

i wouldnt offer him a new deal, it would be a waste of time in my eyes.

I mean -

1. He has not scored

2. he is to old for this level

3. has not really made a GREAT impact in any of the games

4. we need decent strikers if we are to survive
