Your post could not be more cliche, and got boring in 2009 when it was obvious how pretentious and ignorant you doomsayers actually are, 5 years is a reasonable timescale for the first round of quantitative easing that happened in 2008 to have somehow materialized into a huge surge in demand causing prices to spiral out of control. The reality is that demand is still subdued, and quantitative easing has barely any affect on it - in the US for instance, 5 years on inflation is subdued, interest rates are still low (despite some attempts by morons to short treasuries, losing them huge amounts of money in the process in the deluded belief they would ever be able to corner the market, or the Fed for that matter), and the government just recorded a surplus in June: completely contrary to every prediction people of your ilk made. Perhaps that is why gold prices have tumbled, people are cluing up to the fact that you people are idiots.
