I don't think there's been a decent film on in the cinema in years?

Saying that, I want to see the new Leonardo Di Caprio one, where he can make dreams reality and stuff. Although that's almost certainly going to be extremely gash.

Complete and extreme gash. The world's gone mad to rate that steaming pile of celluloid crud. Girlfriend and I were stunned that people were clapping at the end of 2.5hrs of our life we will never be able to reclaim.

Why was it rubbish? Haven't seen it and was looking forward to it...

...although am I right in understanding you were the one who thought The Prestige was s**t? If so, that answers my question.

Yes Melly thought Prestige was rubbish too, not my genre (girlfriend wanted to see Inception, which is why I went). If I had my £7:50 again I'd have gone to see the fantastic Toy Story 3 for a second time rather than Inception for the first.

Clearly you aren't into Christopher Nolan films.

Toy Story 3 was very good.

You're right Uncs. Rarely have I been so stupefied by the majority of the population's reaction to a film I find so poor and boring (pooring). Tom whathisname doesn't act, he just speaks the way he normally does, with no charisma at all, the rest of the acting was first rate I have to say, but the whole concept/story just left me completely cold. I shall stick to watching Kristen Scott Thomas in French arthouse films from now on.

Horses for courses. Transformers 2 got a lot of applause at the end when I went and I know you think that is the worst film ever made. The biggest and most comprehensive applause I ever witnessed was for Schindler's List.

While Inception was clearly nowhere near being rubbish, it was a bit of a let down considering the hype to be honest. I would definitely recommend seeing it but don't expect it to be mind blowing or anything.

Wouldn't bother with T2, but Schindler's is a classic piece of work. One of the greatest ever made.
